A splitter is a passive device, also known as an optical splitter, that does not require external energy, as long as there is input light. The beam splitter consists of incident and exit slits, mirrors and dispersive elements that separate the required resonant absorption lines. The key component of the beam splitter is the dispersive element, which is now used in commercial instruments.
